Link to Hoopla (You need your public library card)
Hoopla Digital provides instant access to e-books, audiobooks, movies, TV shows, music and more. Checkout limits are set by month. Currently, library card holders can borrow 12 items each month.

Link to Overdrive (You need your public library card)
Overdrive provides access for electronic book checkout. The library provides access to a finite number of digital copies. If the book you want to borrow is not available, you can add it to your hold list. When it is available it can be checked out to you. You can read books through the Libby app on your phone (available for iOs and at Google Play), with a Kindle device, or through Overdrive on your computer.
Link to TumbleBooks Library (K-5) (You need your public library card)
TumbleBooks are animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. TumbleBook Library takes existing picture books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an electronic picture book. You can read it, or have it read to you.

Unite Online Library provides free access to more than 400 original picture books, one fourth of them written in Spanish.

The goal of the Virginia Readers' Choice program is "To encourage young readers to become better acquainted with contemporary books with outstanding literary appeal, to broaden students’ awareness of literature as a life-long pleasure, to encourage reading aloud in classrooms as a means of introducing reading for pleasure, and to honor favorite books and their authors."

Learners worldwide can draw, doodle and explore new ways of writing by visiting Kennedy Center's Artist in Residence Mo Willems' studio virtually once a day for the next few weeks. Each episode will air at 1pm ET. Mo Willems is the author of the favorite Pigeon and Elephant and Piggie picture books.

Sudley Elementary Librarian and PWCS advocate for learning through games Carolyn Vibbert suggests you take time to play games over and over to become an expert. Refine your strategies. Learning what works and what doesn't work in a game is good practice. Her game suggestions are offered here with her permission.
Pokemon
Do you have Pokemon cards? Print a Pokemat and learn how to play the real game. The Pokemat prints on 4 pages of paper or cardstock. Use scissors to trim the edges and tape together. The mat is for 2 players.
