Meet our Admin Team

My name is Marcie Fields, and I am the proud principal of Signal Hill Elementary School. I have been a school Principal for over 15 years serving in Prince William,  Stafford County and Spotsylvania County Public Schools.  It is a pleasure being back in Prince William County where I began my career, 30 years ago. 

Over the course of my career, I have had opportunities to serve as both a Coordinator of Public Day Placement and Supervisor of Special Education Programming as well as an Assistant Principal and a Special Education Teacher in both the secondary and elementary levels. I was given the opportunity to lead Standards Based Reporting in Spotsylvania County schools as it is my desire to empower teachers to use their unique abilities in connection with a firm knowledge of the curriculum to encourage our students to have a desire for learning and an intrinsic drive for success.   My passion is to help young people understand that they are valued and that they each have an amazing purpose. 

I am blessed to have a supportive husband, three amazing sons, and three precious grandbabies!  My most precious gift is time with them. 

My desire is for us to work together as a school and community to help Signal Hill be the very best it can be for student's academic, social, and emotional growth.  I believe in our VISION, that if we ALL Go the Extra Mile and Do what is RIGHT in our HEARTS, TOGETHER we can stay focused on the main thing, our young people!!!!

Hello Panda Families! My name is Leah Sadare and I am your Assistant Principal at Signal Hill Elementary School. In my role, I strive to build and foster positive partnerships with parents, teachers, and students. I firmly stand on the premise that it takes a village, and one entity cannot solely support children on its own.  Our partnership will only fuel success and growth! 

I assist in leading our Special Education Department and Testing.  I also provide professional developments for our staff to enhance instructional practices to broaden the teacher's foundational knowledge and collaborate with our Principal in instructional leadership.

My priority is putting the children first each and every day.  I look forward to the wonderful things we will accomplish! 

Hello! I am so excited to be joining the Signal Hill Community. I attended college and began my teaching career in Upstate New York. I taught Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and Fifth Grade there before moving to Manassas to become a Reading Specialist. I have been a Reading Specialist for the past 19 years. While in that role, I have worked with teachers to learn best practices in Reading, Writing, and Phonics instruction. I have taught classes for PWCS teachers, worked on curriculum committees, and assisted Administration with data and school improvement. I have supervised programs, such as VALLSS, All In, and all Language Arts programs, as well as the adults that assist with these programs. 

I believe in supporting the whole child. I want the students in my care to be successful academically, socially, and emotionally. I am here to support students, parents, teachers, and the administration. Please reach out if there is something I can assist you with. 

In my free time, I spend as much time as possible with my two boys. I am a swim mom, Robotics mom, basketball mom, and baseball mom. I enjoying reading and traveling within the U.S.
