New Student Registration

All registrations are now processed online.  The online registration process for the upcoming school year opens on the third Monday of March (2025) and is followed up with an in-person registration appointment.  

Before calling or coming to the school, please choose the correct option to enroll your student online to begin the registration process.  A follow-up appointment in-person will be made after the online process is completed.

 

Kindergarten

For the 2026-2027 school year, please visit our Kindergarten Registration page for more information.

If your child is enrolling in Kindergarten, please visit Kindergarten Registration New and Existing Families .  You will have the option to choose if you are new to Prince William County, or if you already have an existing account with Prince William County. 

Students who are five years of age or older by September 30 are eligible for enrollment in kindergarten.  Students currently receiving preschool services through PWCS do not use online registration; and should contact the school at which the student will be attending Kindergarten to complete the enrollment requirements.

 

New Families in Grades 1-5

If you are new to Prince William County and need to create an account to begin the registration process for enrollment in grades 1-5, please visit the Online Registration for New Families in Grades 1-5 website.

 

 Existing Families in Grades 1-5

Parents should register as an existing family if any of the following are true by visiting the Online Registration for Existing Families in Grades 1-5 website:

  • The parent has a student(s) currently enrolled in a PWCS school or program.
  • The parent has a student(s) who was previously enrolled in a PWCS school or was previously evaluated at a central office location.
  • The parent had a parent account at any time in PWCS.
